I remember when I was a kid the age of eight, and my closest sister was ten years old. We had just gotten home an hour before from Sunday church meetings. My sister had received a chocolate bar in one of her classes, which I remember to have loved. While my sister’s back was turned, and the chocolate bar sat unmanned on the kitchen counter, I sneakily took it. Once I had it in my possession, and I knew that the coast was clear, I snuck off to a corner of the house and ate her delicious chocolate bar. After getting rid of the wrapper, I walked back to the kitchen to find my sister searching frantically for her candy. When I entered the room, pretty confident that she would never know it was I who took it, she turned and glared at me. “You stole my chocolate bar!” She yelled in frustration. The Mormon Priesthood

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (often called the Mormon Church) teaches that the fulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ was lost from the earth not long after the Ascension, when the twelve apostles were all martyred. This is because when the twelve apostles were killed, the priesthood they held was lost as well. When Peter, James, and John were brought to the mountain with Jesus after His resurrection, they were transfigured (Matthew 17) and He gave them the priesthood. The priesthood is the power by which miracles are performed: the dead are raised, the lame and sick are healed, mountains are moved, etc. God created this world through the power of His priesthood. God has granted a portion of this power to His church to accomplish His work: to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man (Moses 1:39). How Mormons Have Fun

Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints follow a health law given by revelation.  The health law is called the Word of Wisdom, and it disallows the use of alcohol, coffee, tea, and tobacco, and encourages healthy eating.  (Read the revelation.)  Mormons also live the Law of Chastity, reserving sex for marriage.  Some people outside the Church see these laws as so restrictive that they assume Mormons are depressed, somber, and unable to have fun.  The opposite is true.  Mormons have more fun; they don’t have to worry about the consequences that come with the use of harmful substances or a promiscuous lifestyle. How Mormons have Fun People often question how Latter-day Saints (often called Mormons) have fun, when they do not drink alcohol, go in bars, do not have sex before marriage, do not smoke, go home late and a lot more.  They see these restrictions as a limitation to happiness in life.
